A few years ago, someone told me that on their birthday, they ride the same number of miles as their age. I think that sounds great, but my birthday falls on a traditionally unpleasant weather day. So I'll never get that tradition going, but I like the idea. So I went for a run instead. I stay plenty warm when I run.

I had a little trouble seeing, because I had something on my eyelashes.
My family always makes a really cool cake for me. I'll try to share a photo of that tomorrow.
Happy Birthday. So, how long was your run? Your age in miles, kilometers, meters?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI try not to run unless in mortal danger. Riding is almost always a better option for me.
Happy Birthday. My goal is to ride 100 miles for each year alive -- in the year. But, since my bday is October, I could easily do 1 mile for each year as well.
ReplyDeleteI am with Jeff -- running bad; cycling good.
Cheers
Happy birthday. Only time I run is when I light a roach bomb in my house.
ReplyDeleteI really like to run and until 3 years ago, I ran regularly. Then I injured my knee bicycling and stopped running because it wasn't helping the recovery.
ReplyDeleteMy knee must be better because I haven't felt a twinge of pain or even discomfort. I'll take it easy.
When the temp gets back above 10 degrees F., I'll start riding again.
Length: I don't know. I just pick a route that will fit within my schedule. While I'm breaking myself in for running again, I alternate running and walking.
ReplyDeleteI'll work up to sub 5 minute miles again. Just kidding. I'm slow like the limping ox.
Happy birthday old timer!
