My son wanted to put a Mentos in a Diet Coke. The results are less than I had seen when others have done the same. Maybe the temperature of the Diet Coke matters.
That was purty cool. What was supposed to happen if conditions were "ideal"? Krakatoa?
How come I didn't know about this when I was a kid? I think we mixed baking soda and vinegar for fun. No doubt Coke and Mentos smell a WHOLE lot better than that experiment!
I'm glad they were entertaining. We've done this a few more times. This morning, we did it in Evergreen, Colorado. It blew about 10 feet in the air and all the people present cheered and laughed. It's a great trick.

I can't decide which I like better. The geyser or watching the kids drink off the oozing bottle. This made me laugh out loud (and maniacally, too!).
