A few years ago, someone told me that on their birthday, they ride the same number of miles as their age. I think that sounds great, but my birthday falls on a traditionally unpleasant weather day. So I'll never get that tradition going, but I like the idea. So I went for a run instead. I stay plenty warm when I run.
I had a little trouble seeing, because I had something on my eyelashes.
My family always makes a really cool cake for me. I'll try to share a photo of that tomorrow.

Happy Birthday. So, how long was your run? Your age in miles, kilometers, meters?
Happy Birthday!
I try not to run unless in mortal danger. Riding is almost always a better option for me.
Happy Birthday. My goal is to ride 100 miles for each year alive -- in the year. But, since my bday is October, I could easily do 1 mile for each year as well.
I am with Jeff -- running bad; cycling good.
Cheers
Happy birthday. Only time I run is when I light a roach bomb in my house.
I really like to run and until 3 years ago, I ran regularly. Then I injured my knee bicycling and stopped running because it wasn't helping the recovery.
My knee must be better because I haven't felt a twinge of pain or even discomfort. I'll take it easy.
When the temp gets back above 10 degrees F., I'll start riding again.
Length: I don't know. I just pick a route that will fit within my schedule. While I'm breaking myself in for running again, I alternate running and walking.
I'll work up to sub 5 minute miles again. Just kidding. I'm slow like the limping ox.
Happy birthday old timer!
