New bike for me

I bought a Surly Cross Check from Hiawatha. I added my Brooks Imperial and aluminum VO fenders. I also got a great deal on a Tubus rack.
This bike cures the ills of my old one and rides like a dream, whatever that means. I don't really care about the "why" right now. I'm happy riding and that's the important thing.

All the right moves. Are you going to have to change the name of this thing now?

I still have three three-speed bikes. I ride one of them pretty regularly. The three-speed fits my mentality -- three gears, but not one of them is ever right.

Nice! I bet you'll like that bike a lot. We are 3-speeding St. Paul on Sunday if you want to come along. Meet at the overlook at Summit Ave. and East River Road at 9:00AM. Should be a good group. We'll hit St. Paul architecture spots and probably eat as well.

I'm curious about your saddle bag.
I've been looking for something to replace the tattered oilcloth touring bag that came on my older Raleigh Sprite.

Do you know what brand it is?

The saddlebag is from Frost River. I bought it at Hiawatha Cycles in Minneapolis. It is a copy of the banana bag. I like it, but worry because it's an easy target for thieves.
