Bike Changes

I retired the coroplast fenders. They were getting a little soggy. I replaced them with Berthoud stainless steel fenders. Very nice.

I replaced the cranky old Sun Tour rear derailleur with a Shimano Crane.

The front of the bike.

A brass buckle on the saddle bag.

The brake lever on the dirt drop bars.

No more coroplast? I won't be able to recognize you!

It all lends a certain aire of respectability.

Those Crane Derailleurs are nice

I'm gettin' pretty fancy. I'm thinking of installing two water bottle cages -- on the same bike.

It was probably time for those fenders to go. They most likely had that old politician stink...

I still have an old Crane that I bought new back in 1977. It's in great condition. Seeing yours makes me want to set-up a five-speed.

The Crane works great. I'm running more than 5 but less than 8. I'm not sure. Friction allows me to ignore those things. All gears over three are just bonus gears.

I miss the coroplast but I love what you've done with the place! (Nice buckle.)
